Kate Toole

Kate Toole is a talented accountant with Controllership experience and expertise. She has perfected the permanent part-time model in the healthcare services, medical research and non-profit arenas. Additionally, as a volunteer, she has received the highest certification for individual income tax preparation from the Internal Revenue Service.
Throughout her career, Kate has effectively interfaced with all levels of management and support staff, including bankers, auditors, consultants, donors, volunteers, investors and boards of directors. She has proven to be a leader, manager and problem-solver with the technical financial skills to get the job done efficiently and expeditiously.
Kate’s professional background includes:
- development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to adequately address financial goals and objectives of an organization
- working with management and department heads to develop annual budgets and operational plans
- management of internal staff
- management of transactional accounting, including:
- accounts receivable
- accounts payable
- payroll and human resources
- bank reconciliations
- tax filings
- monthly closings, journal entries and financial statement preparation
Kate earned a B.S.B.A. degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University, a B.A. degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership. Additionally, she studied musical theatre at NYU and is an active member of the Pittsburgh theater community. In her spare time, Kate enjoys volunteering for Fairytale Princess Visits by providing free character appearances for local charity events, kickboxing, teaching at Pittsburgh Musical Theater, and spending time with her family.
